David Butler - Chairman |
David spent 13 years at Rank Xerox, during which time he held the posts of Marketing Manager, National Sales Manager, Systems Business Division General Manager and finally the International Director of the Systems Business world-wide. Retiring from the
not so glamorous world travel, David developed an artificial
intelligence software joint venture with Rank Xerox before setting up a
business consultancy company and investing in a number of new ventures -
Ripping Gags being one. |
| Other interests | |
On the 5th March 1962 David became, and still is, the youngest subject ever on the "This is Your Life " programme. Seen here with Eamonn Andrews and the late Sir Douglas Bader, a great friend and an inspiration. |
David is
the only disabled driver world-wide to hold both a full International
Race and International Rally licence.
Seen here driving to a class win on the RAC Historic Rally in 1998. |
Unfortunately on the 1999 Ulster Rally David sent his classic Porsche 911 to the great scrap yard in the sky after hitting a tree head-on and shortened it by over 3 feet. It hurt his wallet even more - end of rallying career - back to historic racing on the circuits! If anyone reading
this is disabled and interested in motor sport give David a call, he is
the Chairman of the British Motor Sport Association for the Disabled and
would be happy to assist. www.justmobility.co.uk/bmsad
