The nominations for the 2003 British Academy Children's Film and Television Awards in association with the LEGO Company were announced on 27 October 2003.

The winners for the British Academy Children's Film and Television Awards in association with the LEGO Company will be announced at the ceremony on Sunday, 30 November 2003.

Andy Cutbill - Best young Writer 

 Andy Cutbill has won the award for 

Best Young Writer  
Category at the 
B+ Young Talent Awards 2002 in association with BBC Resources.

 

Judges comment :-
‘In a difficult category Andrew Cutbill was a clear winner. 
 
His script showed an originality and simplicity that was stunning.  
He explored the world of dreams with a fantastic comedy logic that we all recognised.’

An award in 2003

Franc Vose headed off to Annecy to see if he and Andy really could pull off the coup of a "commercial" programme like Albie winning at this important animation festival, and on Saturday night...

ALBIE WON - AGAIN!!

Over 800 films were entered into the festival and Albie has brought home the award for Best TV Series....

The BAF! Awards at Bradford Animation Festival, now in their ninth year, celebrate the best new animation from around the world.  From over 600 films entered to the festival from 35 countries, four films per category were selected to join the festival shortlist.    

The resulting 9 overall winners received an original BAF! Award

At the 19th Annual Chicago International Children's Film Festival Albie walked away with 
1st Prize, Animated Television Programme, voted for by the Children's Jury. (See News for more detail)

Albie Takes over Europe - Next the World!

Albie has won another award, a Pulcinella - the Canal Grande prize 
 at the Cartoons on the Bay Festival in Positano Italy for 
Best European Programme.

Cartoons on the Bay is one of Europe's big international festivals and RAI`s premier festival.
